For your information, this is how we ran the poster competition at the Conference:

Young researchers (i.e. Master’s students, PhD students and young researchers on the job market) were invited to participate in a Call for Posters by submitting a poster on their education research, addressing the issues related to the conference and its sub-themes. Researchers were permitted to submit and compete for both the call for sessions as well as the call for posters. (The call for sessions is now closed). A poster could be submitted by only one individual, even if representing a team.

Poster authors expressed their need for financial support to attend the conference with the submission of the final poster in the application form. Due to limited funds, award of financial support will be extremely competitive. Authors were encouraged to garner funds from other sources in order to secure their participation to the conference or be able to cover at least part of the costs.

Selected posters were exhibited during the conference for informal browsing throughout. Poster-authors were scheduled to provide brief presentations during the breaks, with opportunities for individual discussions and networking. The poster exhibition was organized on both days of the conference.

Some criteria the judges used to assess submissions

  • Is there a connection to the conference theme ?
  • What is the main message of the poster?
  • Is it substantiated by research?
  • Does the poster follow the guidelines for poster submission?
  • Is the poster showing original work?

The conference is being held in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Peru and the Group for the Analysis of Development (GRADE)
